I'm a single mum with two adorable kids, Flipper and Blipson, they will be known as here. Until January 2019 I was working, but we found it wasn't compatible with my partners work pattern and the many hours he worked. Hence, I gave up my job and focused on the boys. Then, me and my ex-partner decided to split up at the end of 2019 and it has been a rollercoaster ever since, to get to terms with being a single mum. Managing a life just with them, moving house and starting on a fresh. Luckily, we still have a good relationship and happily spend time together with our kids. Which I believe is so important for them. It's hard having given up a job and then suddenly finding yourself on your own, however, it is for the best. I hope at one point in time to start working again. But until Flipper start school, (he is 3 but we are deferring him a year due to his hearing impairment), I'll probably stay at home as a stay at home mum. The good thing is, I have always been good at budgeting and stretching my money. Being a foodie doesnt always go hand in hand with being on a budget, however, it does make you creative. Because of this, we eat quality meals but on a budget. And this is what I would like to share with you guys. I have long been considering if I should start from scratch with a totally new blog or just continue on this one. I have decided to continue on this blog, as the past will always be a part of who I am. Love Metti, Blipson and Flipper View all posts by BusyMetti
